When Woolwich residents go the polls for the municipal election in October, one resident wants to see a referendum question on the future of the sidewalk snow-clearing contract in Elmira.
Addressing Woolwich councillors Tuesday night, Marc Christiaens made a pitch to put the issue to a vote, pointing to numerous complaints this winter.
“Let’s put this thing to bed,” he said, suggesting his fellow Elmira residents should have their say.
