Peacefully passed away on Monday, September 1, 2025 at Lanark Heights Long Term Care, Kitchener at the age of 96 years. Beloved wife of the late George Read (2020). Loving mother of Glenn and Connie, Bonnie and Ray Kuntz, Ted and Cheryl. Devoted nan to Chad (Chikage), Craig (Jessie), Brandon (Sana’a), Mirisa (Damion); Timothy (Stacey), Jamie (Laura), Jessica (Matt), Amanda (Brendon); Owen, Carmen and her great-grandsons Josh, Jake; Henry, Caleb; and Casimir. Predeceased by her parents Henry and Olivia (Heintzman) Yantz, son James, daughter Deborah, son-in-law Larry, siblings Alfrieda, Mabel, Margaret, Wallace, Leo, and Lincoln. A thank you to all the staff at Lanark Heights for their compassionate and loving care. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, September 4, 2025 with visitation one hour prior at Dreisinger Funeral Home, 62 Arthur St. S., Elmira. A reception will follow and burial will take place in Elmira Union Cemetery.
