Residents of an established neighbourhood in the north end of St. Jacobs already fighting plans for two sprawling new subdivisions in the vicinity now find themselves fighting a scheme rolled out by Woolwich Township itself.
Looking at options to extend sanitary services to the development lands fronting on Hawkesville Road, the township is suggesting developers buy one of the homes on Chris Court, tear it down and extend sewer lines into the properties slated for the subdivisions.
Residents aren’t alone in reservations about that plan, as one of the developers of the proposed subdivisions are also wary, expressing their concerns to Woolwich councillors meeting Tuesday night.
