On Thursday, April 3, 2025 we said goodbye to a husband, our father, grandfather, and Opa. Onne just celebrated his 97th birthday. Onne is survived by his wife of 70 years Betty, his daughters Ina (David), Alice (Chris), Wendy (Ralph), Michele (Murray), Catherine (Peter), and Christine (Leon), his 18 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. A life well lived, filled with love, laughter, and happiness. He will be missed by many friends and relatives in the Netherlands and Canada. Cremation has taken place. Friends and relatives will be received on Friday, April 11, 2025 from 5-8 p.m. at Floradale Mennonite Church, 22 Florapine Rd, Floradale, ON. A celebration of life service will be held at the church on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at 2 p.m. Reception to follow. Donations can be made to Diabetes Canada or the Mennonite Central Committee through the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira.
