Taxpayers could be on the hook for $81 million to stop our taps from running dry – while also funding nine new Region of Waterloo staff this year at an average of $133,000 each.

The region also suggested piloting new modular technology, reallocating supplies, expanding wells, and making immediate repairs to existing infrastructure.
