Horses can teach us many lessons, says the author of a new book who was inspired to put down in words what she has learned from the equine world.
“I thought it would be nice to bring that [wisdom] in a beautiful way to share with people,” said St. Clements’ Allie Schmidt of the children’s book entitled Dolly’s Long Ride Home.
The story is based on her real-life steed, who came to Canada from Germany, a process that required her to adjust to a new life.
