Erla passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family on Monday, February 9, 2026 at the age of 92 years. Although we are heartbroken, we are grateful and comforted that her last journey to meet her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ has come. Loving wife and best friend of Oscar Weber for almost 65 years. Dear sister-in-law of Melinda Martin, Alice Martin, Anna Weber, Dorothy Weber, Verna Weber, and Paul (Shirley) Weber. Loving aunt to Val (Terry), Rod (Karen), Geoff (Laurie), and will be missed by many Weber nieces, nephews, and extended family. Adoring great-aunt to eight, and great-great-aunt to four. Erla was the last surviving member of her family, having been predeceased by her parents Amos and Magdalena Martin, brothers Cecil and Homer, and brothers-in-law Earl Martin, Clayton Weber, and Enoch Weber. Erla will be remembered for her beautiful smile and caring personality. She was a dedicated member of St. Jacobs Mennonite Church for 60 years and will be dearly missed by her many friends. She loved nothing more than bringing family and friends together in her home for a meal, and was a wonderful hostess. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 12, 2026 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, 62 Arthur St. S., Elmira. Interment will take place at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, February 13, 2026 in St. Jacobs Mennonite Cemetery, 2043 Three Bridges Rd., St. Jacobs followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m. at St. Jacobs Mennonite Church, 1310 King St. N., St. Jacobs. All are welcome to join for a reception following the service. The family extends their sincere thanks to the compassionate staff of the palliative care wing at St. Joseph’s Health Centre, Guelph, as well as to the doctors and nurses at St. Mary’s Hospital, 4th Floor, Dr. Onuska at Elmira Medical Centre, Dr. Nicolle and Wilma Koopman at University Hospital, London for all their support and kindness. As expressions of sympathy, donations to House of Friendship or Waterloo Region Food Bank would be appreciated and may be made through the funeral home.
