More kids have picked up the bat this summer, as there are more players on the pitch for the South Woolwich Minor Baseball league.
There are around 380 kids on 32 teams as this year’s season began at the top of this month.
This influx made it a 40 per cent increase from last season, when around 270 players made up 16 squads.
