After Environment Canada decided to disconnect the Hello Weather telephone service earlier this month, Elmira’s Peter Giesbrecht created an alternative.
“In our area here, there’s a lot of Old Order Mennonites that don’t have cell phones, radio, TV, nothing,” said Giesbrecht, who is also the owner of Elmira’s 519 Tech Services.
“The only thing they have is a landline.”
