Bloomingdale residents are worried about losing the community centre as the region and township are proposing to move the library there from its current location.

The proposed shift from rented space from Bloomingdale United Church to a Woolwich-owned building is designed to save money while making better use of what the township says is as an underutilized public facility.

At the same time, the library would double in size to 800 square feet from 400, allowing it to expand its collection.
