The Elmira District Secondary School curlers on the girls’ and open squads dominated the WCSSAA finals, advancing to the regionals at CWOSSA.
“We’re really, really proud of them because this is something that hasn’t happened since 1994,” said coach Rob Meyers.
“We have two really close teams, and they get along with each other,” he added, noting that when the open team finished the game earlier, they stuck around to cheer the girls on at the Waterloo County Secondary School Athletics Association finals on February 13.
