Like many Canadians, Hockey Helps the Homeless organizer Rob Way knows life would be much less fun without this nation’s favourite sport.

But the former Wellesley Applejacks head coach, who lives in St. Jacobs, then ponders a scenario even worse: imagine if you lost both hockey and your home.

Because that was exactly the fate of one-time NHL prospect Brady Leavold, one of the stars playing in this year’s iteration of the annual charity tournament, at RIM Park tomorrow (Friday).
