Continuing to make tweaks in the early stages of planning the 2026 budget, Woolwich is still eyeing a tax increase north of 10 per cent.
Nothing was firmed up, however, during budget discussions that were a big part of a protracted meeting as councillors met Tuesday night.
Council is looking to set priorities, balancing the millions of dollars needed to tackle a growing infrastructure deficit, rapidly increasing spending and three years of large tax increases – 8.0, 8.7 and 10 per cent.
