The Region of Waterloo still won’t say how much taxpayers are on the hook for now that its speed cameras have stopped issuing tickets under the province’s new ban.
The region’s 28 automated cameras, all located in school zones, issued their final tickets on November 13.
That came two weeks after the government passed a law prohibiting use of the technology.
