While flowers and vegetables often take the gardening spotlight, trees will be the focus of the Elmira and District Horticultural Society’s (Woolwich Gardeners) next speaker event.
Serena Soucy, a local arborist, will discuss the vital importance of tree maintenance in her upcoming talk, Arboriculture: Lessons Learned from the Canopy. Scheduled for September 21 at 7 p.m., the event will be held at St. James Lutheran Church in Elmira. The public is welcome to attend free of charge, though donations are gratefully accepted.
“I’m going to be talking a little about what brought me to the industry, how I found arboriculture, what arboriculture is,” said Soucy.
