A three-game winning streak put the Elmira Sugar Kings back atop the conference standings as the GOHL regular season winds down.

The Kings (35-9-2-1) have the same 73-point total as the Chatham Maroons (34-8-2-3), but lead by virtue of the extra regulation win. The two teams went head-to-head Wednesday night, but the results weren’t known at press time.

The team leapfrogged into the top spot with wins over St. Thomas, Sarnia and London in the past week.
