Wellesley resident Manni Hayer has been newly crowned as the senior Wellesley Fall Fair Ambassador, after being the sole applicant in the contest to kick off last weekend’s 173rd annual celebration of rural life.
Hayer, who was the fair’s first junior ambassador in 2024, answered the call immediately when she was asked to be the senior representative this year.
“I generally felt really honoured,” Hayer said being asked to step up.
“I knew they weren’t doing it just because there were no contestants, but because they knew my ability, because I’ve had history with the fair,” the 17-year-old said, noting she moved to the village from Brampton about four years ago.
