A Woolwich Wild minor hockey team showed their Canadian hockey pride as they struck gold at the Can/Am tournament in Lake Placid, New York.
The U18 BB girls dominated the Central York Panthers from Aurora, Ont., in the final, winning 2-1 to cap an undefeated run during the event October 23-26.
“It was a really good tournament,” said head coach Terilyn Smith, noting it took place where the 1932 and 1980 Olympics were held.
