Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday, December 8, 2025 at the age of 89 years. Beloved husband of the late Vivian (Sachs), and loving spouse of Marie Uttley. Predeceased by daughter Christine. Cherished father of Stephen (Lisa) Goodwin, Jennifer (Gary) Hahn, Barb (Roger) Buehler, Steve (Heather) Uttley, and Richard (Christa) Uttley. Will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Jessica (Stephen), Mackenzie (Dawson), David (Amy), Jake (Phoenix), Evan (Shai), Mason (Hannah), Kyle (Hannah), Alex (Carissa), Max, and Adriane. Jack was also blessed with seven great-grandchildren, and will be missed by many family and friends. Jack was a dedicated resident of Heidelberg, St. Jacobs, and most recently, Elmira. He left a lasting impact through his professional life, working for many years as a mechanic at Martin’s Garage and later working for the Township of Woolwich. His community spirit shone brightly through his volunteer efforts, coaching and refereeing Ringette, organizing numerous bus trips to Branson, and being a dedicated supporter of KidsAbility. Jack was known for his welcoming nature and nice smile, which fostered connections with many people. In Jack’s earlier years, he enjoyed being involved in various Lutheran committees, and later on, felt warmly welcomed by Floradale Mennonite Church, which led him to become a member there. Jack’s well-lived life is truly summarized by his dedication to faith, family, and friends, and he will be missed by all who knew him. A memorial service will take place at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 10, 2026 at Floradale Mennonite Church, 22 Florapine Rd., Floradale with a reception to follow.
