The Wellesley Applejacks posted a win in their final PJHL exhibition match September 3, beating Wingham Ironman 4-1 at The Orchard.
That game gave everyone an idea of how this season is going to play out, the assistant coach, Ryan Yantz, said.
“We still weren’t our full roster, but with 80 per cent of our roster there, I think that gives you a really good glimpse of what’s to come this year in Wellesley,” he said.
Last week’s match saw the Jacks put the game away in the first, scoring three times. Ethan Stover got things rolling at 3:15, scoring on a power play with help from Kyler Morgan and Colton Henderson.
