Agriculture is already experiencing the harsh realities of a changing climate, with rising temperatures actively shifting traditional growing seasons. However, the impact extends far beyond the farm. Changing climate patterns disrupt entire supply chains, with extreme weather directly affecting crop yields, harvest schedules and critical transportation networks.
To help companies keep track of weather events that might impact their business, Jose Di Bella, the manager of research and partnerships at the University of Waterloo’s Climate Institute launched ULYSSES Climate Intelligence.

Drawing from years of collaboration with the private sector, Di Bella noted a significant corporate shift toward recognizing and managing environmental risks.
