He was looking for a peaceful, quiet life in Wellesley, but instead resident Tyler Murdock has been met with “mayhem” thanks to neighbouring short-term rentals, he told township councillors meeting Tuesday evening.
“There are zero rules in place for Airbnb. When there are no rules, that creates a playground for havoc,” he said.
“What it’s causing is excessive noise during the day and into the night. Music and shouting continued until 5 a.m. in the morning. I work, I have to be up early, and we don’t want this, especially during the weekdays.”
