Young hockey phenom Caitlin Kraemer has been on the ice this past summer instead of soaking up some rays.
The 20-year-old with Elmira roots was recently selected for Hockey Canada’s U22 Development Camp, but earlier was invited to the NHL’s Edmonton Oilers practice.
From August 2-16, Kraemer explained it was Hockey Canada’s summer series in BC.
“So, we did a week of tryouts, and then if we got to make the team, a week of a three-game series against the U.S.,” she said of the development camp, in which Canada did beat their southern neighbours.
