All you need is a little flour and water, plus some artistic talent.
At Wellesley Public School, the Grade 8 students are busy creating murals meant to beautify the beige walls that line their hallways. Under the guidance of teacher Debbie Moore, they’re using a method involving wheat paste to splash a lasting legacy across their surroundings.
“The students have each designed a different mural that they’re going to be able to keep on the walls of the school as their legacy as they go off and graduate to Grade 9, then the murals will stay up for a year,” Moore told The Observer.

Hannah Stobbe created a mural with multi-coloured hands, Kayla Miller created an ice cream cone, Kaliya Fane, Kiara Patel and Emma Seher made a welcoming image for the art room, Nash Lightheart, Troy Teles and Leo Straus created a muscle man milk carton and Macy Jacomen and Mabel Harcourt celebrated Canada’s Wonderland as part of the Wellesley Public School mural project.
