The Wellesley Applejacks face a tough challenge in their title hunt after a loss to the Woodstock Navy Vets allowed their fellow challengers to open up a six-point lead at the top of the division.

The 4-1 defeat, which was a closer game than the result suggests, was followed by a 4-3 comeback win against the Hespeler Shamrocks.

Remaining in second place in the PJHL South Doherty Division with 38 points and a record of 19-9-0, Wellesley’s dream remains alive.
