Looking to chip away at the long list of Ontarians without a family doctor, the province this week announced $6 million to tackle the problem in Waterloo Region.

“Ontario is continuing to build a health care system that is connected and convenient for every single person in the Waterloo Region,” Kitchener-Conestoga MPP Mike Harris said in a release following an announcement Monday in Kitchener.

“Through this investment, over 17,000 more people will be able to access local care teams for high-quality care right here in our community.”
