Peacefully passed away on Sunday, November 23, 2025 at Barnswallow Place Care Community at the age of 97 years. Dear father and father-in-law of Sharon Knechtel of Elmira, Nettie Knechtel of Oliver, BC, Doris Klenot of Owen Sound, Maynard and Brenda Knechtel of Wellesley, Christine and Paul Black of Atwood. Brother of Carol and Alson Martin of Waterloo. Alfred is lovingly remembered by his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his children Dennis, Don, and Brenda, and his siblings Clifford, Grace, Orval, Dorothy, Fern, Lila, Erma, and Paul in infancy. A private interment will take place in Mannheim Mennonite Cemetery.
