A second Indigenous mural now graces the walls at Elmira District Secondary School. This one is the handiwork of Grade 12 student Ava Readings.
“With the opportunity that I was given by my teachers in that, I wanted to add something that’s more in the classroom because there’s a lot of representation around here, and with the mural outside,” said Readings.
“With what I was learning last year, I thought a mural that was like this would be good,” she added of the piece that tells a story more about mixed natives.
