There was a visible shudder at the sight of an udder as farmer Brad Brenneman offered to squirt warm milk straight into the children’s mouths.
Not one of the St. Clement Catholic School students accepted, with youngsters seemingly only competing to see who could decline the cow juice the loudest and fastest.
“He was just joking,” insisted Karen Schlueter-Weiss, who was organizing the Dairy Education Day event on behalf of the Wellesley-North Easthope Agricultural Society.
