A new position shared with neighbouring Wilmot Township will help Wellesley reach its environmental goals, including the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.
Meeting Tuesday night, township councillors approved the creation of a sustainability manager position for a 12-month period.
The new hire will help Wellesley meet its target of reducing emissions by 80 per cent by 2050.
